I wish that my room had a floor...
My lovely builders - of whom very much more later, once they have moved out and I have had a little breathing space - have forbidden me to wear blue to work tomorrow.
There is a very good reason for this.
Much kudos to anyone who can correctly guess that reason.

So you don't fall victim to those 'Monday Blues'?
Can't wait to find out what the real reason is!
Angie xx
Is it because the only blue items of clothing you own are a pair of ass-less chaps and a feather boa?
Timmargh - after nearly two weeks of building chaos, I needed that :-)
Angie - watch this space...
Because they're not actually builders at all, but a "crack team" of "spooks" who are using the replacement of her Ladyship's floor as an excuse to "stake out" the house opposite? On Monday they intend to "hit" their "target" who, they are reliably informed, is a woman of limited mobility with a penchant for blue clothing and incredibly stylish handmade jewellery?
One thought would be that your builders are Liverpool fans and it relates to Everton in some way. But that would not explain why today.
So I presume that there is something relating to blueness and this particular day. So I'd be looking for something relating to this particular day - either a historical event, an anniversary or some current event.
But no, I'm stumped...
Because the new decor is predominantly blue and they might not be able to spot you when you get home? You know, like the blue screens they use for trick shots in movies?
(Although, credit where it's due, I like Timmargh's answer better than mine)
*pauses*
I never knew the Dude had a blog.

Is it football related?
Would anything to do with me be football-related?
Some very creative ideas so far.
All wrong, obviously...
If it will help as a clue, it was my blue walking stick they needed.
Are they taking it to the thingy shop so they can get *just* the right shade of paint/carpet/tiles/whatever?
Is it the exact height the doorhandles need to be at when they have finished doing what they do?
Have they affixed a paint-roller to the end of it?
Curses!
That was clearly far too generous a clue.
Yes, a colour of paint has been mixed and used in certain places in my bathroom and it will hereinafter be referred to as Stick Blue.
If they ever finish the room completely, I shall take photographs.
The football reference was more to do with the builders (unless you have hidden talents?).
Are they using your stick to have light saber duels? I caught my brother and the Hon. doing this.
