Mind you, Bertie knows what he's about and wouldn't have been in danger anyway. (Unlike, for example, my in-laws' now dearly departed cat, who routinely used to fall off the back of the sofa whilst asleep.)

What a beautiful coat your cat has! When one has somewhat fewer spoons (to pinch your analogy) there is nothing more wonderful than having a friendly feline around to cuddle and entertain.
