The collected opinions of an august and aristocratic personage who, despite her body having succumbed to the ravages of time, yet retains the keen intellect, mordant wit and utter want of tact for which she was so universally lauded in her younger days. Being of a generation unequal to the mysterious demands of the computing device, Lady Bracknell relies on the good offices of her Editor for assistance with the technological aspects of her journal.

Window shopping

After a long day spent largely despairing at the actions of colleagues several hundred miles away - particularly the one who tried to get me to disagree with a ruling made by a member of my own team - I'm having a gentle potter through Etsy's malachite listings with a view to possible Christmas gifts for Mater.

Mater loves malachite.

I doubt she'd thank me for this, though.

Well, here is an artist who has found something that sells.

Somehow, I'm thinking that the idea of making this sort of thing from glass is maybe not the best plan. Of course, I am not an expert on such things.

Ok, how freaked out am I by the fact that it has sold since I put up a link to it?

And towards which of my readers should I point my suspicion...?

What a strange-looking pendant. Makes a change to wearing your heart on your sleeve.

It IS a pendant of some kind, isn't it? Or perhaps a light pull?

I'm so glad Katie got in first with that and took the flak.

I was about to suggest that Pop is probably just putting the final pieces of tinsel on it and writing the gift tag. I won't bother now!

I wonder what the Customs Declaration form said...?

Not yet, no, although I suppose doing so might liven up next Tuesday's Golden Wedding anniversary party no end...

So, not a pendant or a light pull then.

Is it perchance a glass door knob?

(LMAO picturing the Golden Wedding anniversary party scene)
